Talent Strategies is recruiting a Dental Assistant in East Hollywood, Los Angeles for a full-time opportunity supporting a brand-new community health dental clinic targeted to open in early 2027.
This is a unique opportunity for a Dental Assistant (DA) to join the team before the new East Hollywood clinic opens, allowing you to train within established dental locations, learn the organization’s systems and workflows, and prepare to transition into the new clinic when it opens.
While the East Hollywood location is under construction, the Dental Assistant will train and work primarily at the Downtown Los Angeles / Skid Row dental clinic and may assist at other Los Angeles-area dental locations based on operational needs. Once the new clinic opens, East Hollywood will become the Dental Assistant’s assigned clinic location.
Candidates with experience in an FQHC, Community Health Center, nonprofit dental clinic, Denti-Cal practice, or other high-volume dental environment are especially encouraged to apply.
Dental Assistant Requirements
Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered:
- Completion of a Dental Assistant Program
- Dental Assistant experience in a clinical setting
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
- Current Radiation Safety certification
- Current Infection Control certification
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Coronal Polishing certification preferred
- Strong understanding of dental infection control and sterilization procedures
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume dental clinic
- Strong patient service and communication skills
- Comfortable training and working at the Downtown Los Angeles / Skid Row location during the East Hollywood clinic’s pre-opening period
- Ability to assist at other Los Angeles-area dental clinics as needed prior to the East Hollywood opening
- Reliable, adaptable, and team-oriented
- Interest in stable, long-term employment and continued growth in the dental field
About the Dental Assistant Position
The Dental Assistant will ultimately join the clinical dental team at a brand-new community health dental clinic in East Hollywood, California.
The role includes chairside dental assisting, preparing treatment rooms and instruments, taking dental radiographs and intraoral images, maintaining infection control and sterilization standards, supporting efficient patient flow, and helping create a positive experience for patients throughout their visit.
The Dental Assistant will work closely with dentists, Registered Dental Assistants, front office staff, and other members of the dental team to provide respectful, patient-centered oral healthcare.
The new East Hollywood dental clinic will serve diverse patient populations and help expand access to oral healthcare within the surrounding Los Angeles community.
Pre-Opening Training & Transition to East Hollywood
The East Hollywood dental clinic is currently under construction, with a target opening in early 2027.
Until the new clinic opens, the Dental Assistant will have the opportunity to train within established community dental locations and become familiar with the organization’s providers, workflows, systems, patient-care standards, and clinical expectations.
During this period, the Dental Assistant will:
- Train and work primarily at the Downtown Los Angeles / Skid Row dental clinic
- Gain hands-on experience with established dental workflows and clinical procedures
- Become familiar with organizational systems and patient-care expectations
- Build relationships with dental providers, leadership, and support teams
- Assist other Los Angeles-area dental clinics when operational support is needed
- Prepare to transition into the new East Hollywood clinic as it approaches opening
Once the East Hollywood clinic opens, the Dental Assistant will transition to the new location as their assigned clinic.
Dental Assistant Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during clinical procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, equipment, and dental materials
- Take dental radiographs and intraoral photographs
- Perform delegated Dental Assistant duties consistent with certification and scope
- Perform coronal polishing if appropriately certified
- Assist with impressions and other delegated dental procedures
- Maintain sterilization, infection control, and clinical safety protocols
- Clean and prepare operatories between patients
- Support efficient patient flow and clinic productivity
- Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment
- Provide patient education and reinforce provider instructions
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
- Follow HIPAA, infection control, and workplace safety requirements
- Assist with dental supplies, instruments, and clinical organization
- Communicate effectively with dentists, patients, and other dental team members
- Collaborate with clinical and front office staff to support positive patient experiences

While the clinic is under construction, the Dental Assistant will train and work primarily at the Downtown Los Angeles / Skid Row dental location and may assist other Los Angeles-area dental clinics based on operational needs.
Once the East Hollywood location opens, the Dental Assistant will transition into the new clinic.
Compensation
Pay: Up to $25/hour
Final compensation will be determined based on experience, certifications, interview outcome, and the final decision between the client and candidate.
