Talent Strategies is recruiting a Dental Services Patient Representative in East Hollywood, Los Angeles for a full-time front office opportunity supporting a brand-new community health dental clinic targeted to open in early 2027.
This Dental Front Office position offers the opportunity to join the team before the new East Hollywood clinic opens, train within established dental locations, learn the organization’s systems and workflows, and prepare to transition into the new clinic when it opens.
While the East Hollywood location is under construction, the Dental Services Patient Representative will train and work primarily at the Downtown Los Angeles / Skid Row dental clinic and may assist at other Los Angeles-area dental locations based on operational needs. Once the new clinic opens, East Hollywood will become the employee’s assigned clinic location.
Dental Assistant experience is not required. Candidates with previous Dental Assistant experience are welcome to apply, but the primary focus of this position is dental front office and patient services.
Dental Services Patient Representative Requirements
Candidates should meet the following requirements to be considered:
- Dental office or dental clinic experience
- Front office and patient service experience within a dental setting
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
- Ability to communicate dental procedures and terminology in both English and Spanish
- Strong patient service and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume dental clinic
- Ability to support scheduling, patient flow, documentation, and day-to-day front office operations
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Comfortable serving diverse and underserved patient populations
- Comfortable training and working at the Downtown Los Angeles / Skid Row location during the East Hollywood clinic’s pre-opening period
- Ability to assist at other Los Angeles-area dental clinics as needed prior to the East Hollywood opening
- Reliable transportation
- Interest in stable, long-term employment within a community health dental program
Dental Assistant experience or completion of a Dental Assistant Program is preferred, but not required.
Experience with NextGen or another dental/healthcare electronic record system is also preferred.
About the Dental Front Office Position
The Dental Services Patient Representative will ultimately support the day-to-day front office operations of a brand-new community health dental clinic in East Hollywood, California.
This position serves as an important point of contact for dental patients and helps create an organized, welcoming, and efficient experience throughout each visit.
The Dental Front Office team works closely with providers, Dental Assistants, clinical staff, and other team members to coordinate patient needs, maintain efficient clinic flow, and help patients access dental services.
The new East Hollywood clinic will serve diverse patient populations and help expand access to oral healthcare within the surrounding Los Angeles community.
Pre-Opening Training & Transition to East Hollywood
The East Hollywood dental clinic is currently under construction, with a target opening in early 2027.
During the pre-opening period, the Dental Services Patient Representative will have the opportunity to learn established dental front office operations, systems, workflows, and patient-service expectations before transitioning into the new location.
During this period, the employee will:
- Train and work primarily at the Downtown Los Angeles / Skid Row dental clinic
- Learn established dental front office workflows and patient-service processes
- Gain experience with scheduling, patient registration, documentation, and clinic flow
- Become familiar with organizational systems and procedures
- Build relationships with dental providers, leadership, clinical teams, and front office staff
- Assist other Los Angeles-area dental clinics when operational support is needed
- Prepare to transition into the new East Hollywood clinic as it approaches opening
Once the East Hollywood clinic opens, the employee will transition to the new location as their assigned clinic.
Dental Services Patient Representative Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist dental patients throughout the check-in and front office process
- Support patient registration and maintain accurate demographic and contact information
- Schedule and coordinate dental appointments
- Assist with appointment confirmations, recalls, and patient follow-up
- Communicate scheduling information and dental office procedures clearly to patients
- Help explain dental terminology and information in both English and Spanish
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Support efficient patient flow between the dental front office and clinical teams
- Communicate with providers, Dental Assistants, and other dental staff regarding patient and scheduling needs
- Assist patients with questions and help resolve routine concerns
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements
- Support referrals and other dental administrative processes as assigned
- Help maintain an organized and professional dental front office
- Provide respectful, patient-centered service to diverse and underserved populations
- Assist the dental team with administrative and operational needs throughout the day

The permanent assignment for this position is the new East Hollywood dental clinic, currently targeted to open in early 2027.
While the clinic is under construction, the Dental Services Patient Representative will train and work primarily at the Downtown Los Angeles / Skid Row dental location and may assist other Los Angeles-area dental clinics based on operational needs.
Once the East Hollywood location opens, the employee will transition into the new clinic.
Compensation
Pay: Up to $25/hour
Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, interview outcome, and the final decision between the client and candidate.
