Talent Strategies is recruiting a Registered Dental Assistant in East Hollywood, Los Angeles for a full-time opportunity supporting a brand-new community health dental clinic targeted to open in early 2027.
This Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) position offers the opportunity to join the team before the new East Hollywood clinic opens, train within established dental locations, learn the organization’s clinical systems and workflows, and prepare to transition into the new clinic when it opens.
While the East Hollywood location is under construction, the RDA will train and work primarily at the Downtown Los Angeles / Skid Row dental clinic and may assist at other Los Angeles-area dental locations based on operational needs. Once the new clinic opens, East Hollywood will become the RDA’s assigned clinic location.
Candidates with experience in an FQHC, Community Health Center, nonprofit dental clinic, Denti-Cal practice, or other high-volume dental environment are especially encouraged to apply.
Registered Dental Assistant Requirements
Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered:
- Active California Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license
- Dental clinic experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Current Radiation Safety certification
- Current Infection Control certification
- Coronal Polishing certification
- Strong understanding of dental infection control and sterilization procedures
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume dental clinic
- Strong patient service and communication skills
- Comfortable training and working at the Downtown Los Angeles / Skid Row location during the East Hollywood clinic’s pre-opening period
- Ability to assist at other Los Angeles-area dental clinics as needed prior to the East Hollywood opening
- Reliable, adaptable, and team-oriented

About the Registered Dental Assistant Position
The Registered Dental Assistant will ultimately join the clinical team at a brand-new community health dental clinic in East Hollywood, California.
The RDA provides chairside assistance, prepares treatment rooms and instruments, takes dental radiographs and intraoral images, performs delegated procedures consistent with California RDA scope of practice, and helps maintain safe and efficient patient flow throughout the clinic.
This position works closely with dentists, Dental Assistants, front office staff, and other members of the dental team to provide respectful, patient-centered oral healthcare.
The new East Hollywood dental clinic will serve diverse patient populations and help expand access to dental care within the surrounding Los Angeles community.
Pre-Opening Training & Transition to East Hollywood
The East Hollywood dental clinic is currently under construction, with a target opening in early 2027.
During the pre-opening period, the Registered Dental Assistant will work within established dental locations, gaining firsthand experience with the organization’s providers, clinical workflows, systems, and patient-care expectations.
During this period, the RDA will:
- Train and work primarily at the Downtown Los Angeles / Skid Row dental clinic
- Gain hands-on experience with established clinical workflows and procedures
- Become familiar with organizational systems, protocols, and patient-care standards
- Build relationships with dentists, dental leadership, and support teams
- Assist other Los Angeles-area dental clinics when operational support is needed
- Prepare to transition into the new East Hollywood clinic as it approaches opening
Once the East Hollywood clinic opens, the RDA will transition to the new location as their assigned clinic.
Registered Dental Assistant Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during clinical procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, equipment, and dental materials
- Take dental radiographs and intraoral photographs
- Perform delegated RDA duties consistent with certification, licensure, and scope of practice
- Perform coronal polishing as permitted
- Assist with impressions and other delegated dental procedures
- Maintain sterilization, infection control, and clinical safety protocols
- Clean and prepare operatories between patients
- Support efficient patient flow and clinic productivity
- Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment
- Provide patient education and reinforce provider instructions
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
- Follow HIPAA, infection control, and workplace safety requirements
- Assist with dental supplies, instruments, and clinical organization
- Communicate effectively with providers, patients, and other dental team members
- Collaborate with clinical and front office staff to support positive patient experiences

The permanent assignment for this position is the new East Hollywood dental clinic, currently targeted to open in early 2027.
While the clinic is under construction, the Registered Dental Assistant will train and work primarily at the Downtown Los Angeles / Skid Row dental location and may assist other Los Angeles-area dental clinics based on operational needs.
Once the East Hollywood location opens, the RDA will transition into the new clinic.
Compensation
Pay: Up to $28/hour
Final compensation will be determined based on experience, certifications, interview outcome, and the final decision between the client and candidate.
